Titus 2 Tuesday is here! If you’d like to participate, jump on over to Shanda’s page now.
In our family, my mom is the baby of three. Momma had two girls, and momma’s siblings each had two girls. So, we have six girls on that side of the family. Since Momma was a good bit younger than her siblings, my sister and I were the youngest of the six grandchildren. Needless to say, we learned a lot from our older cousins over the years! From the ghost who always appeared in the storage shed each holiday to the zip sled we all rode at the lake, we had many fun family times that I cherish to this day. As you can imagine, I naturally thought my cousins hung the moon. As we’ve grown up and all begun our own lives, I admire them all for different reasons. Today, I spotlight my cousin Amy.
In the late 80s and early 90s, it was her big hair, her caboodle full of make up, and her stylish ways that I loved. I remember wishing for the need to have a caboodle as big as Amy’s, full of make up like Amy’s was.
Amy met her Prince Charming and got married while I was in college. I have watched her become an incredible wife and amazing mother in the last 10 years. Today, Tim and I love every opportunity we can get to spend time with Amy and Eric and their kids. We both hope to be the kind of parents they are one day.
I hope to be the wife Amy is, the mother Amy is to her two children now and the Seoul-baby they’re adopting. I hope to be the friend / cousin Amy is, the work out guru, the running machine, and the creative Family Night Maker that she is.
Amy, you’re near and dear to my heart, beautiful one! I admire you more than I can put into words.

I'm so happy you've joined in on this! What a sweet tribute to your cousin :0)
I finally just donated my Caboodle to Goodwill...I just don't use it anymore and I found it stuffed in the back of my closet...you brought a chuckle to mind as I thought about how badly I wanted that thing so long ago!
Very sweet post! Thank you so much for joining us today!
oh my goodness, B! How sweet, sweet, sweet of you!! You are awesome- and if I'd known that you loved my caboodle full of make-up so much, I would have let you use some. I'm sure most of it was HAIR PRODUCTS! In my senior picture, my hair was so big, it didn't even fit in the frame..
I love the fact that us "girl cousins" are friends as adults..I love you dearly!
p.s. thanks for being my regular commenter on my blog. You need to tell me how to get more readers!
