House Hubby?

This past week, Tim took a few days off work for a much - much - needed time of relaxing and decompressing. Lucky for me, his idea of chilling out is painting and doing house chores!

Wednesday was his first day off, and I came home at noon for lunch to see our television set up all kinds of undone.

And our office / guest room was also destroyed. He was prepping the room for its upcoming paint job.

Tim had first gone to get us DVR. All our friends who have it love it, so we decided we'd check it out ourselves. Just minutes after I got home, Tim returned. He'd also been to his favorite store, Home Depot.

And Kroger. He also ran by Kroger for sandwich meat for our lunch! While unpacking the groceries, Tim was steady giving me his best "I could totally be a house hubby" pitch. He unpacked the fruit and set it in our fruit bowl. As he's setting the fruit, he says, "see, I can even put our fruit out pretty like you do!" No, I don't set it out in such a straight-line, military fashion. Oh but he does. Not surprised, and I loved it!
Friday was also a day off for Tim. He finished painting, and I'm happy to report I'm perched in a freshly painted, totally put back together office. All special thanks to my House Hubby!

He even had the dogs giving me pitiful we-like-dad-being-home-during-the-day looks, too. They loved being inside during the day, which is usually a weekend thing!

Thankfully Tim returns to the grind today. I'm thankful he was able to rewind, relax, and recharge!

Visiting from Lynette's blog. I thought it was funny when you mentioned your hubby saying he could be house hubby. My DH always says, "I could be a stay at home dad". :)

yeah, right! Sure you can, honey!

Love your blog!

Blessings!

What a sweet husband! When my hubby stayed homr when I was sick to take care of our daughter he said, "WHAT do you do all day? I'm SO bored!" Ha!

Congrats on being the other featured blogger today! Hope you have a wonderful Monday!

Hey! I loved this post....my husband's always handy around the house too. I usually have to convince him to sit and relax when he's home.

Have a great week!

Fun! Tim is so productive!

And I think being a stay at home spouse would be most excellent....but I think Tim would get bored. He likes people too much :)

Visiting from Lynettes blog. I love your blog and will be back often. Hope you will stop by and see me.

I am going to have a "card box" giveaway every month. This drawing will be the last day of April.
Every comment you leave throughout the month will enter your name in the drawing.
This NEW blogger was so touched by all the comments I got on the Blog Party, that I decided to make this a monthly GIFT...
Also, if you link to my blog telling about the monthly giveaway, you will have your name entered 10 extra times...How is that for an incentive?
I was so blown away by all the responses that I wanted to email each person personally, but TIME... just has not permitted..but I did love reading all of them..I am continuing to introduce my family members and then there will be some fun blogs coming up from Disney World in May. I am so thankful for all my new friends.

Just yesterday, my husband was telling me how he hates to paint. For as handy as he is with other things, I guess I'll give him this pass. Do you mind if I borrow yours? =)

So glad your hubby got the work done in a week. Can you imagine would this week would be like if something had remained unfinished?!

We have several canine companions around our house who can look just as pitiful when they want to do so. Aren't dogs funny?
