For today's Wednesday's Walk, I am showing you our new front door!! It's finally finished, and is definitely "Posh Red"!!

I absolutely love it! Tim patiently painted it with seven - yes, seven! - coats of paint! I doubt I'll ever see a red room after our first experience with red paint!! And that's okay! Because we have a Red Door!!!

I LOVE IT! I have all red walls in my living and dining rooms; been up on the walls for 21 years, and needs a touch up, but I just love having color on the walls. When we moved into this house and I was choosing paint, my husband said, "You can't have color on the walls! Walls are supposed to be white!" "Said who", I replied. He just shrugged and said they were supposed to be white. Being an artist, I told him I had to have color, so color I have!

I love your red door. My daughter had a read bedroom for many years (the lower 1/2 of the walls). It took me many coats of paint to get it right. It took many coats of paint to cover it up as well!

We have a red door, too! Our's came that way, which is a good thing because I do not think I have the patience to paint all those coats! What a great idea for a WW post. Think of all the future memories of going in and out of that red door!
my mom painted a wall in her kitchen a red color and LOVES it! She was scared when the decorator suggested it but it makes the room so warm and cozy. your door looks just as great!

Personally, I'm not one for red rooms. But, I absolutely LOVE houses with red doors. There's something about the neutrality of most homes and that pop of red. It brings your eye towards the door - a welcoming of sorts.

It is FAB-U-LOUS! It really compliments your house colors. I have a big, fat, fluffy red couch that is about the same color. I love how red makes a statement, ya know?!
