Mother's Morning Out

Molly started MMO this morning.  She'll be going twice a week from 9 - 12, and it's at our church.  Her teachers are Miss Becca and Mrs Candace, and I am sure she will have a great time!  I worked with Becca when I kept the nursery for a few years before I had Molly, so I was so excited to learn Molly was in her class!

Yesterday I felt like Mother of the Year when I realized none of Molly's sandals fit her feet!  She never wears shoes, and I knew she'd need to wear shoes to MMO, so after naps we loaded up and ran to Dillard's for a quick shoe shopping trip.  Thank the good Lord Molly has adjusted beautifully to having shoes on her feet.  So far anyway.  Yesterday evening I put them on her, and she stopped playing one time, grabbed her foot and said, "Osh!" which means off.  I ignored her and she went right back to playing!  Thank goodness!

She was all dressed up and ready to go this morning!

Yep, shoes, bow and all!  I was so surprised, and I wondered how long they would last! Miss Becca told me the bow only came out once!  WOW!

I will readily admit my heart stopped for a second when I took this picture this morning.  I may have said outloud, "how in the world am I going to leave you for three whole hours today, Molly?"  She did just great at drop off and only cried for a few seconds.  Once I got out the door, she was playing with her new friends in no time!  What a blessing!

Ellie's also doing MMO this year, so we grabbed a few pictures of the girls after their day.  Ellie loves to "hep bebe wak."

Both girls had a great first day!  I think it's safe to say Molly was pooped!

Wasn't that 10 minutes after dropoff just the worst??? I got that same sick feeling the first year and last year. I am expecting it again this year when I take TWO to school.

The only thing that makes it ok is on that 11th minute. Because that is when you realize what a great experience it is for these kids. And believe it or not, at some point you will say to yourself, "Wow...3 hours goes by too fast!"

Oh my word, how cute!! What a nice little time for yourself! Miss Molly just looks so grown up, I know you don't want to hear that, ha! I love this age and everything they are learning about themselves and what they are exploring! Go Molly!!

Awww, sweet girl! I totally know how you feel about leaving her. I was a mess when I started MOPS but was so thankful for the sweet ladies taking care of Liv!

I hope you enjoy your mornings to yourself! You deserve the break! :)

Oh, she is so sweet!!! I'm glad she had a great time! I just love the programs that churches have for little ones. It's so great for them and a nice time to run errands for Momma too :) My girls went to a local church program for preschool and I really loved it.
