On Your Mark, RESET, Go!

It's no secret I battle my weight. I have even declared war on these pesky pounds I can't seem to shed before. And I have a friend who is very health conscious and fit. I often look to her for running tips, workout advice, weight management insight, and the like. So, when she shed 8 pounds following a relatively easy plan, I was interested in what she'd done.

It's called RESET. It's a program that boasts "5 Days to a New You". It's designed to reset your metabolism, teaching your body that it doesn't need carbs and sugars and such. It's supposed to help your body to crave "healthy foods". Considering I seem to find myself craving diet coke, sugar, and terribly unhealthy treats, I was really anxious to try this out!

So, during these five days, we have protein shakes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We are to eat one health bar mid-morning and one mid-afternoon. Also during the day we're allowed 1 serving of fruit and 1 serving of vegetable. Add in as much water as your body can handle, and you've got yourself a day!

Two days in, and I must say I feel really good. Minus the nagging headache that I'm pretty sure is due to lack of caffeine, I'm really okay.

Oh, and the weight? The same today as I was yesterday morning. But, it's just day two, so I'm hanging in there with the hubs and hoping to see that weight drop drop drop!!!

I'll keep you posted!

Good luck! I hope it works out for you! I would probably have a massive headache too. Ha!

I hope you do well. I could have written this post myself since I would love to lose more than a few pounds. Why is it so hard!!! It always seems like I crave things more when I know I can't have them!!!

I would love to try this out sometime when I'm not pregnant (and I'm not....yet...but....). Not to lose weight but to crave those healthy foods b/c I do crave the sugar and carbs for sure!!

Just a thought B--but now that I work out less, my cravings are so much less. It's a welcomed side effect :) I'm starting to work out again but not every day and not as intensely in hopes of keeping my appetite/cravings at a more reasonable level.
